People with compassion for the suffering animals founded the Tierhilfe Fuerteventura e.V. in their holiday paradise in 1997. This developed into an animal protection association active throughout Germany and Europe with the association’s headquarters in Dorsten – Germany.
The THF is now the largest and best-known animal welfare organization on the Canary Island. It is recognized as a non-profit organization and particularly worthy of support.
