We recommend all our guests to take a rental car, especially when booking the remote fincas and villas. Shops, local public transport etc. can hardly be reached on foot from there.
Many charming places are off the public bus routes and are difficult or impossible to reach without a car. We expressly point out that cars can be rented on the island for insurance reasons only from a minimum age of 21 years (Orlando Car) or 23 years (all other car rentals). It is also advisable to book in advance or to book immediately on the internet, because sometimes, due to seasonal reasons, there are no cars to rent at short notice.
